Sky Views Dubai – Address Sky Views
Short of a skydive, the recently-launched Sky Views Dubai viewing deck is perhaps one of the most extreme ways to experience Dubai from above. From 220m, you can step out onto the all-glass floor for a vertigo-inducing view straight down. If you’re feeling really brave, you can zip down the all-glass slide or even take things up a notch further by braving the ‘edge walk’. You’ll harness up and walk across an open-air viewing deck and you can even jump across the precipice, safe in the knowledge that your harness will do its thing.
Dhs55 (Edge Walk Dhs699) Open daily 10am-10pm. Address Sky View Hotel, Downtown Dubai.
Ain Dubai
Thanks to Ain Dubai, even more superlatives can be attributed to Dubai. As the world’s highest observation wheel, coming in at almost twice the size of the London Eye, it offers some pretty unique views of Dubai on high. The experience takes you up 250m into the sky and it takes 38 minutes to complete one revolution. What’s more, if you are planning a special event, such as a birthday, you can hire out one of the air-conditioned pods for a pretty epic celebration.

At the Top – Burj Khalifa
The Burj Khalifa is without question Dubai’s most iconic landmark, not to mention the world’s tallest building. If there is one go-to attraction in Dubai then it is Burj Khalifa’s ‘At The Top’ viewing deck. There are a range of different experiences available, including the VIP ‘world’s highest lounge experience’, if you are looking to push the boat out. On a clear day, you can see most of the city. On a cloudy day, you’ll realise just how high you are as the fluffy white things float by.

Dubai Frame
The Dubai Frame is an unmissable feature on Dubai’s skyline. It has been cleverly designed to frame Old Dubai through one side and the new part of the city on the other, showcasing its legacy and future. From the 150-metre-high sky glass bridge, you can look straight down and even step out onto the glass (if you are brave enough). Top tip: why not visit at sunset and watch the sun go down.
From Dhs20 (kids), Dhs50 (adults) free (kids under three and people of determination). Open daily 9am-9pm. Zabeel Park, www.dubaiframe.ae.
The Next Level – Palm Tower
The Next Level at the Palm Tower is one of the newest additions to Dubai’s viewing deck lineup. To reach the Level 54 summit, you are required to climb two sets of stairs but the effort is worth it. You will be rewarded with stunning 360-degree unobstructed views from the highest vantage point on Palm Jumeirah. Don’t forget to take plenty of snaps while you are there!
From Dhs175. Open daily, Mon-Thu 9am-10pm, Fri-Sun 9am-12noon. www.theviewpalm.ae (800 843 8439).
