Got yourself a family of early risers? Get the whole gang down to this family pool day deal at Dubai’s DoubleTree by Hilton in JBR, where there’s a pool day with breakfast, kicking off from 7am. Kick back with the kids at a resort that offers a private beach, infinity pool, kids’ pool and sprawling garden with views of Ain Dubai and Bluewaters island.

With no less than six temperature-controlled swimming pools to float between, there’s an option for very everyone at this popular Polynesian-style resort on The Palm. The great news for families is that a number of those pools feature slides, flumes and waterfalls and there’s a separate splash zone for little ones.
If they tire of swimming, older kids can have a go at a range of water sports or choose to tackle inflatable obstacle course Aqua Bounce, which bobs about just off the shoreline.

Long-standing Palm favourite RIVA knows what families want from a beach and pool day. Here you’ll find the vibe is chilled but never posey, there’s a nice stretch of beach lined with plenty of sun loungers (perfect for putting your feet up while the kids build sandcastles) and two pools – one that’s well suited to both laps and lounging and another for children.
Poolside restaurant Gazebo meanwhile comes into its own when that inevitable post-swim hunger kicks in or the adults feel the need for a refreshing cocktail.
