As Dubai finally enters the cooler season, several popular outdoor attractions reopen their doors to the public – Dubai Safari Park is one of them.
The park closed its doors for the summer at the end of May, however, the Dubai Safari team weren’t just sitting around – they got busy prepping for the new season.
Visitors will have plenty of new things to see a number of new animals plus a variety of interactive educational and entertainment shows. Additionally, there will be new restaurants and cafes offering local and international cuisines.
What can visitors expect?
Dubai Safari Park is home to around 3,000 animals, with 78 species of mammals – including 10 different carnivores and 17 primates – 50 types of reptiles, 111 kinds of birds plus amphibians and invertebrates. All of the animals at Dubai Safari Park live in a climate-controlled environment close to their natural habitat.
The 119-hectare park is home to a number of diverse themed sections including the African Village, Asian Village, the Arabian Desert Safari, the Explorer Village, and the Valley area. Visitors will also be able to feed giraffes, rhinos and birds at the park.
if you’re revisiting, you will get to see some new additions to the Dubai Safari Park family. This includes newborns of some animals including the ankole-watusi cow, the eland antelope, the Arabian oryx, the Nile crocodile, and the water buffalo.
Inside the park, you can get around by train, bicycles, electric cars and other environmentally friendly vehicles.

There are a number of ticket options available to those who want to visit depending on their budget with prices starting from Dhs50 for adults and Dhs20 for children.
Before you purchase your tickets, make sure you check out the packages Dubai Safari offers. There’s a ‘Behind the Scenes’ package which will provide an exclusive 90-minute experience where visitors can meet with animal care specialists and learn about the daily routine and special care provided to the animals. And yes, there will be chances to interact closely with and feed a number of animals.
For shutterbugs, there’s a unique package called Bush Photographer that will allow you to take pictures of animals from different vantage points in the Park.
