Beach club menu is taken to the next level by expert chefs
While the atmosphere at Twiggy by la Cantine encourages guests to be lazy, relaxed and positioned horizontally on a plush sun lounger, in contrast, backstage in the kitchen the culinary team are buzzing around their stations, busily preparing a wide variety of delicious dishes.
Taking a beach club menu to the next level, the chefs at the ever-popular Twiggy at Park Hyatt artfully concoct simple plates that allow top quality ingredients to speak for themselves without unnecessary over-complication.
Classic flavour combinations and easygoing dishes such as burrata, seafood platters, quinoa and kale salad, and sushi rolls mingle on the menu with more grandiose options such as caviar, king crab, Angus beef and a black truffle pizza that is always a popular choice with diners.
The spirit of the menu swings between beloved beach idylls such as Ibiza, Saint-Tropez, Cassis and Formentera, with a brief stopover in Okinawa in Japan for a truly eclectic food offering.
A menu that doesn’t try too hard is in keeping with the interior design at Twiggy by la Cantine, which could be dubbed ‘effortlessly chic’. Inspired by the bucolic charms of Provence in the south of France, Twiggy is speckled with natural shadows from not only overhead beams and trees, but also light shades and furniture in natural rattan. Twinkling reflections of sunlight from the 100metre infinity pool and the shine that emanates from the dazzling white sand of the lagoon are the finishing touches to the elegantly rustic Twiggy.
Designed and conceptualised by Pierre Pirajean, Héléna Paraboschi and Rizwan Kassim – the team behind Dubai’s successful La Cantine du Faubourg, Ninive, Lana Lusa and Mimi Kakushi – Twiggy is a precious gem within a sparkling portfolio of food and drink destinations that have become firm favourites with the city’s style crowd.
