Maiden Shanghai’s outdoor terrace returns for a new season

Partner content: Plus private karaoke and more reasons to visit FIVE Palm Jumeirah’s acclaimed Chinese restaurant

Fancy checking out a restaurant with some of the best views of Dubai’s newest major attraction? Maiden Shanghai is where your next dinner date needs to be at.

Located at FIVE Palm Jumeirah, a hotel that is synonymous with a lively night out and hugely popular with Dubai’s chic set, the 1920s Shanghai-inspired restaurant offers authentic Chinese cuisine with a magnificent backdrop of the Marina skyline.

Now back open for a brand-new winter season, the Maiden Terrace is one of the ultimate dining spots to try on Palm Jumeirah right now, with views of JBR and the brand-new Ain Dubai and live entertainment every evening from Wednesday to Friday.

Maiden Shanghai serves a gourmet Chinese menu curated by chef Luo Bing, featuring MSG-free organic dishes influenced by Cantonese, Szechuan, Shanghai and Beijing-styles of cooking.

Highlights on the menu include Bing’s organic Peking duck (a real crowd pleaser), braised short ribs in a tangy black vinegar sauce, ‘boom boom’ organic chicken, crispy prawns and Chilean sea bass rolls, Spanish octopus served in a flavour-packed hot and sour sauce and more.

Like to finish your meal with a sweet treat? Two Michelin star chef René Frank is behind the indulgent and innovative dessert menu, which features unique creations such as an almond rice bowl, century egg and mooncake.

As well as a private dining area for special occasions, the swanky restaurant even has its very own karaoke room.

With loads of top sing-along-tunes (Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, anyone?), comfy seats and a super cool vibe, it’s the perfect spot to gather the girls for a fun night out, to celebrate a birthday in style or to challenge your friends to a sing-off.
