A new boat service has been launched between Dubai Marina and Bluewaters Island, the emirate’s transport authority has announced.

The Dh5 service operates from Monday to Friday, 4.50pm to 11.25pm and from 4.10pm to 11.45pm at weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

Boats will depart from the existing ferry stop near Marina Mall and tickets can be purchased from the RTA kiosk.

A second new line was also announced by the emirate’s Roads and Transport Authority on Wednesday, connecting the residential areas of Dubai Creek Marina near Festival City.

Creek Harbour Station will provide services to surrounding attractions at Dubai Festival City on weekends from 4.10pm to 11.45pm, the fare is Dh2.

“The move, which is part of the Marine Transport Master Plan 2020-2030, aims to serve residential communities and development projects with a sea view,” said an RTA representative.

Earlier this month, a new abra and ferry station opened on Dubai’s Deira Islands, where passengers are able to enjoy free rides for the first five months.

The new station at Souk Al Marfa offers direct access to and from Dubai Old Souq, Deira Old Souq and Al Ghubaiba.
